A lap is a career. The eight checkpoints are the milestones this site is built around, taken in order so cutting the course does not count, and the things scattered around the circuit are the decisions made at each one — the ones that compound, and the ones that put you in the grass.

High fidelity graphics — PBR surfaces, an HDRI environment, screen-space ambient occlusion, bloom and antialiasing. Downloads about 14 MB more and wants a reasonably recent discrete or Apple-silicon GPU; on integrated graphics it will run, but slowly. Off by default, remembered in this browser, and switching it rebuilds the scene.

The TSP pickups are the point. They are a permanent speed upgrade for the whole run, so taking one on your first lap is worth far more than taking the same one on your last. That is compounding, and it is the argument every chapter here makes.
