The rules we hold placements to

  • No advertising network. Every placement is chosen by hand and lives in this site's source code, where you can read it. There is no auction, no third-party ad script, and no behavioural targeting.
  • No tracking. This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Everything you enter stays in your own browser and is never sent anywhere.
  • Never beside a warning. A placement never appears inside or next to a warning or caution block, never inside a practitioner-insight panel, and never between a step and its safety notice.
  • Credit products are vetted. Any consumer-credit offer must conform to the Military Lending Act's 36% Military Annual Percentage Rate cap, and the review note is recorded in the source.
  • Free alternatives come first. Where a free government or non-profit service does the same job — legal assistance, a financial counselor, an accredited Veterans Service Officer — it is named, whether or not anyone pays to be there.
  • Labelled either way. Paid placements are labelled "Advertisement". Unpaid ones are labelled "Free resource". Nothing is presented as editorial when it is not.
